  • LAN segmentation, using bridges, routers and switches.

  • Network segmentation with bridges, routers and switches.

Network Protocols

  • IP addresses (and sub netting).

  • TCP/IP network-layer protocol.

  • ICMP.

  • Configure and Verify IP addresses.

  • Required IPX address and encapsulation.

Routing

  • Flow control and its uses in networking.

  • RIP and IGRP routing protocol.

WAN Protocols

  • Frame Relay.

  • Configuring and Monitoring Frame Relay, LMIs, maps, and sub interfaces.

Cisco Basics, IOS & Network Basics

  • History, editing features, router startup & loading Cisco IOS software from Flash memory, a TFTP server, or ROM, IOS backup, upgrade, and load a backup image.
